Sleeps 12. A hidden gem in the Wiltshire countryside, Hillside Cottage is the perfect place to gather together a group of friends for a getaway weekend, family for a reunion, celebrations, or a base to explore the countryside. Sleeping 12 in six ensuite bedrooms with steam shower bathrooms, Hillside cottage is like a beloved family home with a living room with fireplace, an eat-in kitchen with dining table and a private patio with BBQ. A short path above the cottage leads you to a small barn housing a wet and dry sauna with an outdoor plunge pool and hot tub. A few more steps along the path, Trailhead Cabin offers a small chill-out space with a small kitchen, dartboard, wood burning stove, and an outdoor fire pit overlooking the most extraordinary views. At the bottom of the hill is the award-winning Three Daggers Pub, Brewery and Farm Shop.

Orchard House

Sleeps 8. Originally built in the 1700s Orchard House was recently refurbished in 2021 and now offers the perfect location to escape to the English countryside and experience it in a rural, cozy and intimate setting. With four rooms, sleeping eight people, it is filled with original features. From the moment you step inside you’re welcomed into this warm and inviting country house, surrounded with wood paneling, with a fully equipped kitchen set in the heart of Edington Village. On warmer days enjoy the large garden and relax in the lounge chairs arranged around a firepit, or cook up a storm on the gas BBQ. The garden looks across to the beautiful Priory Orchard filled with blossoms in the spring, and apples in the Autumn – which go into our own Apple Juice which is available in the Three Daggers Farm Shop. In fact Orchard House is so comfortable you may not want to leave, except to go to the pub, of course.

Brewhouse

Sleeps 4. Originally built in the 1700s Brewhouse was fully refurbished in 2017. Sleeping four in two double bedrooms the property features an open rustic kitchen equipped with modern appliances, a reclaimed wood dining table coupled with a snug living room, cozy sofa, TV and cast iron fireplace. Definitely take the time on cold days to start a morning or evening fire as it brings the property to life – In fact Brewhouse is so relaxing you may not want to let the outside world in. On warmer days unwind in the secluded garden or if you’re feeling more competitive make use of your own private games room featuring a dart board, foosball table, board games, a fridge and seating for all. We fully understand if at the end of your stay you don’t want to leave.

The Orchard House
& Brewhouse Cottages

The Edington Cottages, built in the 1700s, were the original brew house and gate house for the neighbouring Edington Priory. The Brewhouse was refurbished in 2017 and accommodates up to four. The Orchard House refurbished in 2021 can accommodate up to eight. Both cottages offer the perfect opportunity to escape to the English countryside in a rural, cosy and intimate setting.

The simplicity of these charming country cottages makes them a refreshing getaway from the distractions of modern life and are an ideal location for couples or families up to groups of 12. The Edington Cottages are so relaxing, you may not want to let the outside world in.

Towards the Salisbury Plain permissive footpath, the Edington Cottages are a 13 minute stroll to the Three Daggers Pub and Brewery (AA Pub of the Year, England, 2019/2020) and the Edington Farm Shop culinary market. The farm at the Edington Priory supports the Pub and Farm Shop with fresh produce and seasonal take-away menus which coincide with local farmers’ offerings.

Hillside Cottage

Built in 2017 Hillside Cottage offers stunning county views. Hillside Cottage sits across the street and adjacent to Three Daggers Pub and the Edington Farm shop. Perfect for a larger family or friends gathering, the Hillside Cottage can host up to 12 guests.

Location

The Perfect Launching Point

All of our Edington Cottages are a 12 minute drive from Westbury train station and offer off-street parking and are the perfect launching point for sightseeing, including the Westbury Whitehorse, Stonehenge and the city of Bath. Steeped in history, nearby Wiltshire has much to offer the hobbyist historian. Take a quick hike to Salisbury Plain and the unspoilt historic site of the Battle of Ethandun. The nearby area and village of Imber was repurposed as a training ground for American troops readying for the battles during World War II and remains an active training ground today.
